A good fit between client and therapist is vital to your experience and success in therapy. Generally, clients seen here are young adults (20s-40s) or teens and their families. Common issues addressed in therapy are anxiety, depression, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, and general life stress or transitions. Please feel free to reach out even if you have other areas of concern.
In your first session, you will be asked informational questions and work with the therapist to establish your goals for counseling. Every person's experience in counseling is unique based on their individual needs. You may be asked to begin exploring difficult emotions and memories while practicing new techniques such as relaxation training, journaling, role-playing, reading assignments, or even “homework".
You will be sent a link to access a patient portal to submit all required intake forms and documents. A release of information form is also available if you would like to share any information with another provider or family member. If you plan to use your insurance for services or need to make an out-of-network claim, please bring a copy of your insurance card.
