Since 2008, I have dedicated my practice to helping individuals and families cope with mental health issues like anxiety, eating disorders and trauma. I have worked with people of all walks of life in inpatient psychiatric hospitals and mental health agencies such as Laureate Eating Disorders Program, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and Ozark Guidance Center.
I am a full-time Assistant Professor and Counseling Program Chair in the Psychology & Counseling Department at Northeastern State University (Broken Arrow Campus). I received my doctorate degree in Counselor Education from the University of Arkansas and currently practice in Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist. I am the owner and primary therapist of HEART Therapy but work closely with other local providers to help with referrals and resources for clients who need additional support.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients navigate their own personal healing journey. I have a passion for working with young adults, teens, and families who struggle to deal with the stress of daily life. I work alongside each client to create a safe space where they can feel heard, understood, but also challenged in healthy ways that lead to positive and lasting change.
